Authentic, Heartfelt Wedding Photography

Capturing Moments Since 2024

Bride in black lace gown and groom in white suit share romantic forehead touch holding orange floral bouquet outdoors.

Your wedding. Your people.

Your story.

Wedding photography for laid-back lovers, wild-at-heart adventurers, and couples who want to actually enjoy their wedding day.

You’ve spent enough time planning the details. When the day finally arrives, you want to be present — laughing until your cheeks hurt, tearing up during the vows, dancing with your favourite people, and soaking up every ridiculously beautiful moment.

I’m here to capture it all honestly, romantically, and with a little bit of fun along the way.

Your love story deserves photos that feel like you.

You don’t want a wedding gallery that could belong to anyone.

You want to remember the way your partner looked at you when they thought you weren’t watching.

The belly laughs. The happy tears. The slightly chaotic dance floor. Your friends being ridiculous. Your dad trying not to cry. The tiny moments you didn’t even realise were happening.

But if your photographer is focused on stiff poses and perfectly arranged shots, those moments can easily get missed.

And the last thing you want is a gallery full of photos that feel overly posed, predictable, or — worse — like they could have been taken at anyone’s wedding.

You want photographs that bring you back to how it actually felt.

Not just what it looked like.

Couple sharing a kiss outdoors in Scottish wedding attire, groom in tartan kilt, bride in white gown with plaid sash.

Bride and groom share first dance outdoors at night with sparkling fountains and rustic 1859 barn backdrop.

Less posing. More living.

I don’t want you spending hours of your wedding day standing in front of my camera.

I’d much rather steal you away for a brief moment — just long enough to breathe, take each other in, and create a handful of beautiful portraits together.

Then? Back to the party.

Because your wedding day is about being with your people, not constantly performing for a camera.

While you’re off laughing, drinking, dancing and soaking it all in, I’m there documenting the story as it naturally unfolds — the big moments, the quiet ones, and all the wonderfully unplanned bits in between.

You get to live the day. I’ll make sure you remember it.

Photography that fits around your day — not the other way around.

Whether you need 4, 6, or 8 hours of wedding photography, you’ll get a relaxed, intentional experience designed to let you enjoy your celebration while I document it as it unfolds.

Every collection includes:

Your choice of 4, 6 or 8 hours of coverage

A complimentary engagement session — a chance for us to work together, get comfortable in front of the camera, and have some fun before the big day

A beautiful digital gallery filled with the moments, emotions and memories that make your wedding uniquely yours

The option to add a wedding book, so your favourite images can live beyond the screen

No spending half your reception taking endless group photos.

No trying to recreate moments that never happened.

Just thoughtful, natural photography — with enough direction when you need it and plenty of space to simply be yourselves.

You bring the love, the laughter and the adventure. I’ll capture the story.

Relive the day, all over again.

Your wedding day will go by ridiculously fast.

One minute you’re getting ready. The next, you’re surrounded by everyone you love, the champagne is flowing, the music is playing and somehow it’s already time to say goodnight.

Your photographs give you a way back.

Back to the nervous excitement before the ceremony.

Back to the look on your partner’s face.

Back to the hugs, happy tears and uncontrollable laughter.

Back to the people you love, exactly as they were in that moment.

Years from now, I want you to open your gallery and feel it all over again.

Not just remember what your wedding looked like — remember exactly how it felt.

Your wedding photographs shouldn’t feel like a collection of poses you were told to recreate.

They should feel like your relationship.

The way you naturally laugh together. The little glances. The ridiculous moments. The tenderness. The people who make you who you are.

I’ll give you enough direction to feel comfortable, without turning your wedding day into a photoshoot.

The result?

A gallery that feels honest, personal and completely yours — not a collection of generic wedding images that could belong to anyone.

Because the best photographs aren’t just beautiful. They feel like you.

From “We’re engaged!” to “Look at us!”

01 — You’re booked

Once you’ve chosen your collection and secured your date, we’re officially a team.

We’ll keep in touch as your plans come together, so you never feel like you’re left wondering what happens next.

02 — We get comfortable

Before the wedding, we’ll meet for your complimentary engagement session.

It’s more than just a chance to get some gorgeous photos. It’s our opportunity to hang out, get comfortable together and figure out what feels natural for you in front of the camera.

By the time your wedding day arrives, having me around won’t feel like having a stranger with a camera following you.

03 — We make a plan

As your day gets closer, we’ll chat about the details that matter, your timeline, important people, meaningful moments and anything you definitely want captured.

The goal is to have a plan without making the day feel overly planned.

04 — You get married

This is the fun part.

You get to marry your favourite person, celebrate with your favourite people and actually enjoy your day.

I’ll guide you when needed, steal you away for a brief moment for some portraits, and spend the rest of the day documenting everything as it naturally unfolds.

05 — You relive it

After the celebrations, your carefully curated images will arrive in a beautiful digital gallery.

Pour yourselves a drink, get cosy and relive the whole bloody day.

And if you want something tangible to hold onto, you’ll also have the option to create a beautiful wedding book filled with your favourite memories.

Simple, relaxed and focused on one thing: making sure you get to enjoy your wedding while still having photographs you’ll treasure forever.

Meet the Photographer

Hey, I’m Lucy.

I’m Lucy Goodfellow, a wedding photographer based in Bathurst, NSW, photographing laid-back lovers, fun couples and adventurous romantics across the Central West and beyond.

I’m the kind of person who can happily spend a weekend gaming, gets far too excited about Pokémon, and will absolutely sing along when a good song comes on.

And when I’m not doing any of those things, you’ll usually find me with a camera in my hand, documenting people in love.

I’m not here to make your wedding day feel like a photoshoot.

I’m here to become a familiar face, help you feel comfortable, steal you away for a few beautiful moments together, and then send you straight back to your people while I capture the magic happening around you.

Because I think your photographer should feel like someone you’re happy to have at your party — not someone you have to perform for.

So, if you’re looking for someone who will capture your day honestly, keep things relaxed and probably get a little too excited when the perfect moment happens… hi.

Relaxed. Fun. Uniquely you.

Relaxed

No awkward hours of posing. No pressure to perform.

I’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, then let you get back to enjoying your day.

Fun

Your wedding should actually be fun.

I’ll bring plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and good vibes — while making sure you spend your day laughing, celebrating, and hanging out with your favourite people.

Unique

There’s no one-size-fits-all formula here.

Your relationship, your people and your wedding are completely unique, and your photographs should reflect that.

Your day doesn’t need to look like everyone else’s. Neither should your photos.

I’ll guide you when you need it. Document you when you don’t.

You don’t need to know how to pose.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands.

And you definitely don’t need to spend your whole wedding day looking at my camera.

My approach is a mix of gentle direction and documentary storytelling.

When you’re feeling a little unsure, I’ll guide you into something natural and flattering. When the moment is already unfolding perfectly, I’ll step back and let it happen.

That means you get the best of both worlds:

Beautiful, intentional portraits — without losing the candid, messy, emotional, completely real moments that make your wedding yours.

And when I do steal you away for those portraits?

It’ll be brief.

Because your guests are waiting, the dance floor is calling, and there’s a whole bloody wedding to enjoy.

This might be for you if…

You’re not looking for a super traditional, formal wedding photography experience.

You’d rather spend your day celebrating than posing.

You want photographs that feel natural, personal and a little bit different.

You’re the kind of couple who would rather sneak away for a quiet moment together than spend hours lining up for photographs.

You want to laugh. You want to party. You want to soak up every second with your favourite people.

And when you look through your gallery, you want to see your relationship, your people and your actual day — not a perfectly polished version of someone else’s wedding.

If that sounds like you…

I think we’re going to get along very well.

Frequently asked questions

How far do you travel?

I’m based in Bathurst, NSW and photograph weddings throughout the Central West and beyond.

If you’re planning a wedding a little further afield, get in touch. I’m always up for an adventure.

How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, so the number of images you receive depends on your coverage, your timeline and everything that unfolds on the day.

What matters most to me isn’t hitting a particular number — it’s giving you a gallery that tells the complete story of your wedding.

How long until we receive our gallery?

After your wedding, I’ll carefully sort through and edit your images before delivering your finished digital gallery.

I’ll let you know the expected turnaround when you book, so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you photograph family and group photos?

Absolutely.

While I’m all for candid moments and keeping things relaxed, I know there are certain people you absolutely want photographed.

We’ll create a simple list beforehand so we can get those important group photos done efficiently — then get you straight back to celebrating.

What happens if it rains?

We embrace it.

Rain doesn’t have to ruin your photographs — sometimes it creates some of the most romantic and memorable moments of the day.

We’ll work with whatever your wedding day throws at us and make the most of it.

Do we have to know how to pose?

Absolutely not.

That’s my job.

I’ll give you gentle direction when needed and give you space to interact naturally. The engagement session also gives us a chance to get comfortable together before the wedding.

Do we need an engagement session?

Your engagement session is included with every collection, and I highly recommend taking advantage of it.

It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, have some fun and figure out what feels natural before your wedding day.

By the time the big day arrives, having me around will feel much more familiar.

How many hours of coverage do you offer?

I offer 4, 6 and 8-hour collections, so you can choose the amount of coverage that best suits your day.

Every collection includes your complimentary engagement session and digital gallery, with the option to add a wedding book.

What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?

Honestly? Most people say this.

You don't need to be models, and you don't need to know what to do.

I’ll guide you when needed and give you space to interact naturally. The engagement session also gives us a chance to get comfortable together before the wedding.

You just need to show up, be yourselves and enjoy being in love.

Ready to make some memories?

If you’re planning a wedding that’s relaxed, fun and completely your own, I’d love to hear about it.

Tell me about you, your plans, your people and the kind of day you’re dreaming about.

Let’s make some bloody beautiful photographs.
